Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock Shot by Karl Lagerfeld

HRH Prince Albert of Monaco and Miss Charlene Wittstock, of South Africa, are planning a wedding that will take place on the 1st and 2nd July 2011 - clashing with Kate Moss' nuptials but Kate isn't South African, so, priorities people. In the mean while, in an article published last week in Madame Figaro magazine, Charlene says, "As you know I am proud to be South African and very happy to support my country." It is great to know that she hasn't forgotten where she comes from as she becomes the Princess Sovereign of Monaco in just a few short weeks.
For the story, Charlene and Albert were photographed by none other than Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld. I think he has done a beautiful job on these images.
Charlene does admit in the story that she didn't really have any fashion background before having to take it seriously for her new role. She tends to rely on Armani and Akris for major functions at the moment but it will be interesting to see her find her fashion feet as she grows into her royal role. This last image on the stairs has her in an Armarni Prive halter top and a Haider Ackermann skirt. You all know how I love HA. With her height and poise, she would be a perfect muse for him, if she is prepared to take a few risks. How exciting.
