Eva Longoria Covers US InStyle - And Has Not Been Asked to Be Godmother

Eva Longoria attended an awards event last night, looking beautiful in her mint green Monique Lhuiller lace dress, proportioned artfully by teaming it with those high silver heels by Giuseppe Zanotti. The colour she chose (or her stylist Charlene Roxborough) was pitch perfect considering she has also just been revealed as the cover girl for the US InStyle July 2011 issue, headed with the exact same colour. By design or coincidence?

Of course Eva has also been in the news these past few days as she was rumoured to have been asked by my mate Victoria Beckham, to be the godmother to her baby daughter, to be born on the 4th July. This was quickly dismissed by Vicky's rep as absolute nonsense. I am sure they will wait until after the baby is born before asking anyone.
Eva and Vicky have been besties for a while now, a few years at least, and Eva did take the responsibility to organise the baby shower and has been one of the most prolific supporters of Victoria Beckham dress collection, wearing it about 50% of all her public appearances in the past year. But still, no one wants to jinx birth and I am quite sure the two will be just as thick as thieves in the days after the birth as they are now. I say defs Eva for fairy godmother!
