Lily Allen Marries in Delphine Manivet, Not Chanel

There was so much fashion speculation ahead of the wedding of Lily Rose Allen to her builder boyfriend Sam Cooper, that she was wearing Karl Lagerfeld designed Chanel, that no one considered anything else for her. Instead, it emerged this weekend at her country nuptials that she was actually wearing Chanel for her going away outfit and it was largely unknown French wedding dress designer Delphine Manivet that crafted the unique dress for Lily on her big day.

Looking very 'her', the dress was a 20s-inspired lace creation with a mock fish tail and an elaborate veil with flowers on the ears. Announcing her third pregnancy (the other two ended sadly in miscarriage) at the wedding, it was apparent that her wedding dress was designed to accommodate her expanding form.
She wore Rupert Sanderson platform peep toe shoes with her dress and looked the picture of happiness. Whatever her personal demons, I told you all last week how much I admire her music. And frankly, I have also always admired her personal style - in its authenticity mostly. I couldn't be happier for her and think that she looked perfect on her wedding day. Congrats lady.
