In five days time, the American fashion council will announce their winners for fashion in the past year, the
CFDA Awards. I am quite excited because UK writer (and one of my idols) Hilary Alexander will be presented with a lifetime media award. And like all fashion awards, there are some controversial nominees so it has got people all hot under the collar. I love it when it's not me.
Leading up to the event on the weekend, cool 'it' photographers
Inez and Vinoodh shot some beautiful portraits of a selection of nominees, including lifetime achievement winner,
Marc Jacobs, and Style Icon award
Lady Gaga. Interesting choice.
The other portraits are of nominees for women's wear designer of the yea
r, Alexander Wang and Jack McCollough & Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler.
