Turkey as Fashion Hub? Check Out the Evidence from Marie Claire, Vogue, Harpers...
There is a feeling I have that Turkey is turning into something of a fashion capital. Not so much from the perspective of creating and designing fashion, but from an expression and shopping destination. Turkey has always straddled the west and the east, Europe and Africa, modern day and traditional. It seems it can do both equally well. But its aspirations are definitely in Europe.
And if their fashion editorials are anything to go by, they seem to be setting the pace a bit at the moment.
I recently posted a story from the November issue of Marie Claire Turkey . Such a beautiful use of Louis Vuitton.
And now the December issues of Marie Claire, Vogue and Harpers all contain staggering fashion editorials. What is happening in Turkey right now to make it so inspired and exciting in fashion? Suddenly I have an urge to go there to find out. You coming?
