Michelle Obama Beats Oprah to be Most Powerful Woman in the World

The American first lady is now more powerful than German Chancellor Angela Merkel, US Sectretary of State, Hillary Clinton, Kraft Foods Chief Executive Irene Rosenfeld, who led a hostile $18 billion takeover of Britain's Cadbury, and my very own uber-uber-boss Oprah Winfrey, says Forbes Magazine.
Forbes said Michelle Obama topped the list this year because "she has made the office of first lady her own" while remaining popular. "In a telling sign of her charisma, the White House is putting her on the campaign trail to headline fundraising events in battleground states like California and Colorado. She's also effective: In response to her Let's Move! campaign against childhood obesity, companies like Coca-Cola, Kellogg and General Mills have pledged to reduce the calorie content of their foods by 2015," it said.
I look at this and say to myself, "this is the woman supporting African designers." Wow, who better?
PS: Just FYI, Anna Wintour was in 56th place. Carla Bruni took 35th place, Heidi Klum 39th and Sarah Jessica Parker 45th. Weird, no?
